Dad we are checking out the possibility that James is related to David Kerr & Jean Boyd. David was born in 1670 perhaps in Greenock where I was born. His son John was born in Ireland and his sone John was born in North Carolina. Like I said, right now it is in the works and may not pan out but wouldn't that we something if it were true? They have established that Kerr and Carr are the same and where the name was changed in America.
