The G-Kids enjoyed Papoo's sand he had delivered today for yard work & a pile of stones just as big. Since I was right there with them, I let them climb all over it. Last night Jake and Mari helped shell butter beans. I was amazed at how much they enjoyed it. I would open them for Mari and she would take them out and put them in the right bowl. They were good little helpers.

What fun! Do you remember playing the childhood climbing game and triumphantly singing, "I'm the King of the castle and you're the dirty wee rascals!" when you reached the summit and looked down on your fellow climbers? Those were the days - and we girls did not even think of substituting "Queen" ... What were we thinking? :o)
How Jake and Mari are growing and what wonderful learning experiences they are having with Nana and Papoo!
I just love these photographs. Why do little boys want to throw sand about?. Jake has it in his hair, too. I love when he tries to help that little girl with the chunky legs.
Thanks a bunch,
Mum
