After tomorrow we will start calling the baby by it's name. Isla and James went to the doctor's today and had the sonogram taken that told the sex of the baby. We know, but we are waiting to let Isla and James tell everyone what the baby is. She said she would update her blog tomorrow. It is no longer an "it". The video was amazing! We saw it's little body move and heart beat. As much as it was moving, I told Isla and James to get their sleep now. So remember to check her blog, (see link the the left).
James had another interview with FMC today. We are hopeful that he will get a job soon.
We had a nice weekend with Isla and James. Friday we had a fish fry at the Coffee House. James and one of the Coffee House kids played guitar and drums all night. They were really good. Saturday we got up early and headed for Florence Alabama. We celebrated Isla's 24th birthday early by taking her to Hellen Keller's birthplace and "Rigatoni" and Italian Restaurant. We visited the bookstore and all got books. We also went by the garden center / farmer's market and got some fresh corn, new potatoes etc. for a shrimp boil we had Sunday. It was back to the Coffee House Saturday Night. Sunday we prepared for the storm, putting chairs off the deck etc. I cooked some fried pies for the first time, just something I've been wanting to try. We had a great shrimp boil. It was a nice weekend. The storm came through but not as much wind as forecasted and the rain wan't too heavy.
Hal was supposed to go on vacation this week, but came in to work today. They changed their trip because of the storm and are leaving early tomorrow. He came in today, long enough to go out and fall off a ladder but I think he is ok, just a bit bruised he said.
Tomorrow is Isla's 24th birthday. Happy Birthday Isla! I gave her the money you sent, Mum and Dad. She got maternity clothes from us! She is wearing some in the photos below.

Glad to read Isla's news. I'm pleased that she decided to share it now and not keep us waiting. This is the first time in our family that I have known in advance the sex of the child and it is quite exciting. From this moment on it becomes a child with his own identity.
It sounds as if you had a good time celebrating Isla's birthday.
All the best with your grandson, Granny Alison and Grandpa Mike.
Love GG.
