Tuesday

We had a nice weekend. Monday we were off for the 4th July Celebrations. Isla and James came home Saturday. I cooked some crawfish. Mike BBQ'd on the 4th. I made another chair over the weekend but I'm not posting a photo till I have finished the painting effects. This one will be a little different. It rained Monday afternoon, so we weren't able to go swimming like planned. James and Mike enjoyed the fireworks. Monday night between 8pm and 10pm the lake was lit up with fireworks. Our neighbors behind us and beside us and around the bend from us and both Nichols and the White House and across from us all had fire works. It was a sight to sit out on our deck and just watch them all. There was also a bad wreck, it seems just about where Carrie had hers. This one involved two cars coming towards each other. We haven't heard much about it yet, but there was a fire engine and police cars on the levee of the lake and they stopped traffic while the helicopter landed from Tupelo. Tonight Mike and I went to the board of Alderman's meeting. Since some on the board are new they had to vote on whether we could use the Coffee House building for the next four years. So, they voted yes. That made us happy.
