It's Isla's 26th Birthday today. Here she is wearing the Birthday Hat Granny and Grandpa McLean bought. 
I made an ice cream cake which is made from ice-cream sandwiches cut into four and put around the edge of the tin then cookie crumbs on the bottom and three layers of ice cream inside and chocolate cool whip and grated chocolate on top.Mike and I have been reminiscing a lot with Isla's birthday about her birth and childhood etc. It seems surreal this year that it's her birthday and she is pregnant with a little girl.
Today I had a surprise when I did the shopping for the Coffee House. I went to put everything up and the refrigerator has obviously not been working for a day or two. The light was still on but the food was all ruined, freezer and fridge as it is one unit in the kitchen. So I had to clean that all out, by that time it was around lunch time and about 92 degrees in the Coffee House. Mike was out of town today so hasn't had a chance to look at it but it looks like we will need to replace it. I had to do some quick thinking about refreshments for tomorrow night.

I love the hat. The cake looks absolutely yummy. There is no chance I would make one like that. You are much more adventurous than me at cooking. Looks as if Isla has been having a good time. I am assuming she is working every week - no school holidays!
