Lazy Sunday

We had a great weekend at the Coffee House. The bands were great and the turnout was good. Mike took the grill and cooked hamburgers for everyone Saturday. The Hays from Iuka (Parents of drummer for Child Apart) brought us some shelves for the board games. They are just what we needed. A guy from Tupelo, brought us a pink pong table that the kids love. He too lost a child, just last November in a car accident. We had a good talk with him when he brought it by the Coffee House. Mrs. Hayes was also telling us an interesting story. She works at Freds in Iuka and was interviewing a lady that used to live in Fulton. The lady was talking about Churches etc. during the interview and they got to talking about their children and Mrs. Hays told her how her son was playing at Carries Coffee House this Saturday. The women was taken aback and asked more about it. Seemingly, she lived behind the Coffee House somewhere and she felt impressed to get the key from the Mayor and go inside the building and pray. She said she had this picture of lots of kids and she didn't really know why she was praying but she walked around the building praying for it and this picture she had. She also said she questioned God, as the building needed so much work. Anyway, perhaps one day this woman will come by and see it now. I've always said, how strange when you think of how many times Carrie herself drove by the building on her way to college or the skating rink or something. It's a good job we don't know the future.
