Saturday

It's been a long hard week. Work has been busy and hard. Hal again just piles me up with his work as well as the usual running of the shop and business that just walks in and calls. I am really looking forward to some vacation. Friday was hard on my co-worker Chris. He went to install some letters on a window and on the way back to the shop saw an accident first hand. At first to him it looked like a guy who was either drunk or high plowed into a row of cars that was waiting at a red light. Chris got out to see if everyone was ok. The guy in the truck got out and Chris asked if he was ok and all he said was call 911. Chris went on to check those in the cars and when he looked back the guy was laying on the ground. As it turns out and no one knew this till later, the guy worked on a construction sight and had been stung by bees, he was severely allergic to the stings and was either headed in his truck to his house to get medication or to the hospital. They were not able to save him, he died. Chris was pretty shaken up. If only the guy had told him what was wrong he could have passed it on to the ambulance when it came but no one knew. Everyone else was ok.

Cut grass this morning and flung a rock into Mike's truck passenger side window and it shattered. Yes, I cried. Ha! That is twice for me. In Natchez I got the red station wagon with the lawn mower also. Kind of put a damper on my day but I'm trying to cheer up. Mike isn't too worried or concerned, saying at least it is the right time of year not to have a window.

Things are going well at the Coffee House. Another volunteer last night, a guy who is musical. Josh is really doing a good job, playing with the kids, talking to them, ministering to them and they don't even know it. Keep him in your prayers as this is what the Coffee House is all about. Reaching some of these kids and making a difference in their life. Added a play station dance mat to the games. The kids watch the screen on the TV and have to put their feet on the right box as it goes by on the screen. It is funny to watch. They like it though.

Shirley Priest might be at the Coffee House tonight. She was in Oxford visiting her sisters and son and said she wanted to come over, so we will see. It will be great to see her. Shirley has been a good friend over the years. Some friends you lose touch with and others when you hear from them it's like you talked to her yesterday. She came to Isla's wedding and Carrie's funeral and has sent me emails of encouragement along the way. I used to keep Brian her son for her when he was little and he and the girls were good friends.

Mike is doing wine stuff today. I don't know, putting it into jars from the bucket things. It smells good. We may go back to the vineyard tomorrow. He loves this time of year.
