Saturday was work day for the Lake. Mike and some other neighbors met over at the swimming area and planted grass seed where the bulldozer had done some work, then they spread hay and salted the beach area to kill weeds. They also moved a picnic table. I went to the Coffee House and had a clean day myself. I cleaned out all under the counter and organized. It looks much better. I vacuumed the whole place, which is a job by it's self. Also wiped down the electronics, they get so dusty.
The coffee house went well Friday and Saturday. Mike has found a good tool for using with kids. He cranked up the BBQ pit in front of the Coffee House and instead of cooking all the hamburgers at home like we usually does during the week, he just did it there. It adds to the character of the place. The kids like to hang out around Mr. Mike and talk and talk and talk. in fact at some times I am just known as Mr. Mike's wife. Hehehhe! Sometimes I get a Mrs. Alison out of them. He is in his element and the kids love him. Saturday night it rained solid the whole time we were there and they still hung out outside under the overhang of the building with him. It was suggested that we have some theme nights, where the kids come dressed up as something and we play a certain type of music. We will have to come up with that.
I'm finding this time of year hard. I have really kept myself so busy, so I wouldn't have time to think about things but you can't really help it. Tomorrow I think I will pick some daisy's and take them to the site where she had the accident.
Isla and James are at (their) home this weekend. Isla has a lot of work to do with her class. I talked to her on the phone yesterday. It sounds like she has a big test Monday. James has another interview in Tupelo Tuesday at 4pm and should hear back from FMC this week he said. Mike has been told to complete his projects he is working on, so he can work himself into his new job. Isla's doctor's appointment went well last week. Dad, it is good to read your blog and keep up with what is going on. I hope you and Mum have a great time down at Roberts. Give the girls an extra hug from their Aunt Alison.
