Tuesday

Had a good weekend with Isla and James. It was busy at the Coffee House and Tonya couldn't make it Saturday, so Isla was put to work with me in the kitchen. I don't know what I would have done. We went through 45 hamburgers in one night, lot of hot dogs and milkshakes.

On Sunday afternoon we went to the Flea Market to see what a sugerglider was. They are very cute. Mike didn't buy one Mum! I told him you said not to spend any of your Christmas money on one. Ha!

Mike and I aren't riding in to work this week together. He is still busy working on that doll box thing for his boss and it helps if he can get right home and to work on it, plus he is letting the band in the Coffee House to practice this week. I am getting the Coffee House items. We have a big night planned Saturday with two bands coming that usually bring a crowd with them. One of the bands will have their new CD, so it will be a big night. I need to make sure we have enough of everything.

I decided not to make gingerbread houses this year. There are lots of reasons, the construction on the house, not enough time with being at the Coffee House now, Isla won't be home till New Year for Christmas. It's not as much fun doing it by yourself anyway. I like to try and get help to decorate them. We even had Jared Schuchs help me one year.

The Christmas Cards are coming in daily now. It is good to hear from everyone. (Laura, if you read this, I really liked your card with the Angel, it was so cute.)

We are having our office party next Monday. I'm sure they will be sorry not to get the usual gingerbread houses. I still have to get something else for them. We are just having it at lunch time which suits us better anyway.

It was really cold this morning. Actually put on gloves.

Lots of cards came in today, some from USA, one from Ruby Smith with photo of Sorghum Grower in newspaper, also a card from the Wallaces to us as Ruby suggested!! She mentioned that Laura Stanford's father has had surgery for colon cancer. Is this Carrie's friend's Dad - the girl in the library. I think she says that Ann is doing good, Ruby's writing is like her language is not easy to understand at times!! I'm only kidding.
I enjoyed my meal tonight, what a relief. I began to think there was more wrong as I had lost weight again. Tomorrow I'm out for tlunch with some of the surgery staff, then the Park Hotel in the evening with Church girls and lunch at the Guild on Thursday so any weight loss will transfer to gain I'm sure. I'm now looking forward to it all.
Dad is at computer class, my handicrafts is finished for the holidays. I have a cake in the oven for a gift. I do not mean to ice it. Possibly it will go to the Davies family.
