Happy New Year

Happy New Year All!
Sorry it has been a while since I blogged. I don't know. I've been on the phone so much over the holidays or email to Mum and Dad and those that seem to really care that I felt everyone knew what was going on. We had a nice New Year Day today. Isla and James came over and I got lots of cuddles from Jake. We had a nice dinner. The weather was hot, in the 60's. Mike and James got in the canoe and had a firework war with the Nichols clan once again. They all had a lot of fun. They paddle close to their house and shoot bottle rockets back and forth.

The Coffee House went well this weekend. We stayed open till midnight. Some little kid I have given a hard time in the past because he doesn't look like he is 12 and you have to be at least 12 or with an adult to be there, made my night. He said, "This place is awesome, it rules! All the work you did to provide this place for us, I think ya'll are the bestest grown-ups I know!"

It's funny the things that set me off. Last night we always watch a little tv or something before going to bed after the Coffee House. It's like you just need to unwind a bit before we can go to sleep, even though it is late. Last night mulberry came on, a British show Carrie and Isla and I used to watch when Mike worked nights at FMC. I didn't think twice about it, enjoyed it but when the music played at the end, I just couldn't control the tears and remembering watching it with Carrie. We miss her so much.

Attached are some photos we took of Jake today. Also, Isla and James have a computer now, so Isla is able to update her blog at home which she has done.

Thursday is my last day of work. Isla goes back to work Friday teaching 7th Grade World History in Fulton. I will begin Baby Sitting Friday.
