Jake has his first night at the Coffee House last night. A momentous occasion! I'm sure there
will be lots to follow. It was so funny. Last night at the Coffee House we found out that ALL of Fulton knew about Isla forgetting the baby bottles yesterday! I happened to arrive at the school to get the key for Isla at bell time, when all the kids were going to class and later they all asked Ms. Carr why Ms. Alison was at the School, so she told them. Then while I was in Walmarts and all the check-out girls were ohhing and ahhing over Jake and I told Jessica's Mum why I was buying bottles, a teacher happened to be next in line behind me and I didn't know it. Tonya came into the Coffee House laughing, her son had told her already. In the first photo Isla is with two of her students that go to the Coffee House. It is amazing how many of her students actually attend. Then Laura and Eric came to see the baby. So, Jake has been to the Coffee House. He doesn't quite know what to think of all those kids, but is glad to know we have lots of ceiling fans for him to look at.
I'm not going to say this month has been unusually hard, it's all about the same but I felt guilty this year having a birthday. I know that is weird. What is a Mother to do when she is so used to making birthday cakes for her child or buying a gift, it is so ingrained, it just feels wrong not to. So, next Saturday is Carrie's Birthday and once again the kids at the Coffee House will get cake and chips and dip and other things for free. A kind of party. I know she would love the Coffee House. Like Laura says, people know of Carrie now that wouldn't know of her before. A girl at Church told Laura that she had Carrie's Sister as her teacher at school. It's nice that her name lives on and these kids think Carrie's Coffee House is a awesome place to hang out. It's nice to still talk about her, which we as a family do often.
