Here is today's photo of Jake. He smiles at you now and is beginning to cooo. He loves ceiling fans whether they are going or not. He seems to notice them everywhere. I told him today it must mean he is going to be a helicopter Pilot. The quilt behind him in this photo is Isla's baby quilt that Ruthie gave her when she was born. Jake makes a lot of noises when he is asleep. He not only has Carrie's hair coloring but has a red spot on his head at his hair line on the back of his head just like Carrie had. Actually I had forgotton about it till Isla pointed it out. Jake loves clasical music and loves to be sang to. When he gets fussy he likes for you to walk with him like I used to have to do with Isla. She would know the minute I sat down. It is so much fun getting to spend so much time with him.
I had a nice Birthday. Instead of going out to eat Mike cooked steak and shrimp and bought a bottle of wine and also cheesecake. Wow! It was a nice surprise. I'll have to walk twice as far on the exercise machine tomorrow since Isla and I and Jake didn't get our walk in today.

You, Alison, had a spot on the back of your head too. It was as a result of being delivered - an assisted breach - which meant that forceps had to be used a some stage on the head. That is what I understood anyway! I'm certain that the mark disappears in time.
