Friday News on Saturday
Got to bed at 1:30am last night. It took two cups of tea this morning to get me going. The Coffee House went great last night. Tom Douglas, art teacher at Itawamba Community College, came by with two canvas pieces he hung on the brick wall for us. He said he has more. The photos on the website really don't do them justice, they are very nice and have meaning behind them. We all watched the fireworks from the Coffee House, some climbing onto the roof to watch them!!! I won't mention names but you can guess who led that expedition. The fireworks were great, then everyone went in and listened to Elise Pearce on her keyboard. She is great, has a great voice and can really sing those worship songs. Her dad who hasn't played the drums in years got up and played the drums with her which made her night. Then we had a group of first timers come in from Tupelo. Ron Cottam has been mentioning us on his radio show quite often and I think a lot more folks from Tupelo are finding out about us, plus he has a link to us on his website at WAJS.net. Anyway, these kids thought the place was great and got up and sang a couple of songs after they had called the rest of their band members and told them how to get there. Isla and James will be coming home tonight, meeting us at the Coffee House. I like to hear James on the guitar. Looking forward to a fun weekend with them. Getting ready to clean the house and get ready. Mike is working on the washroom, putting in the new hot water heater etc. He is scheduled to leave for Pennsylvania July 19-23rd. He thought he was going to have to go to Washington State this Tuesday but it has been put off until he goes back to work for an update on that. May have to leave Wednesday. He stays so busy, but I think he likes it that way.
