My boss is crazy! I don't care if he happens upon this blog. Hal, you are crazy. He brought up yesterday about the fact that recently we found a scorpion and also two spiders right by my computer, both of which Chris killed and witnessed. So yesterday Hal brought it up. We think the spiders were the bad kind though Mike didn't get to verify that. He then mentioned that he had some spray in the back to use, with the implication that I should spray. Well last I looked that wasn't on my job list and I don't do it at home and don't think I should start handling chemicals. So I told him really quick that perhaps he should spray sometime. So I was thinking, Friday 3pm, if Hal spayed when we left it would have all weekend to sit and would be a good time to spray. What does Hal do, he goes back there 20 minutes or so later and starts spraying. He sprayed so much, Chris and I had to open the back door. All three of us started to have a runny nose. I didn't go back into the room where the computer was, it is confined and was too strong. Chris and I stayed by the fan and fresh air for the rest of the day. Anyway, it just goes to show what an idiot I have for a boss. Luckily all is well.
The Coffee House went well last night. I was run ragged in the kitchen making things though. Jerry and Verdie brought their grill and cooked sausage and hambugers. That was a big hit. At first it was kind of slow but more people showed up as the night went on. All in all it turned out well. Everyone had a great time.
Unfortunately, when I got home after midnight, I found out quick that the washroom door had somehow locked by itself. Perhaps while I was painting it. Anyway, here I was at midnight, locked out my own house. All the windows and sliding glass door were locked shut, so the only thing I could do was go and drag that metal ladder up to the hole where the airconditioner used to be and we had covered with plex till we got a window or something put it, and climb in that way. I knew it was only held in there lightly. I could just see Mike calling me to see if I was home and me outside trying to get in. It was a bit crazy, but I'm glad to say I handled it well.
So here I am, got to bed at 1pm. Dogs start barking outside at 5am, so I just got up, since I was awake, called Mum to wish her a happy birthday but she isn't there right now. I'm headed out to Wal-mart to pick up things for the Coffee House. Almost ran out of some things last night. Then will come home, cut grass and perhaps take a nap before I head out again tonight. So if you can't get me on the phone, that is where I'll be.
