Saturday

Last night was really busy at the Coffee House, once again. The band played well, and there was shouts and clapping from the kids as they played. They seemed to have a lot of fun. I wouldn't have made it without Jenny and Laura, and Janice Nichols also helped out. Isla and James arrived also. There were balloons, cake, flowers, all in remembrance of Carrie's Birthday. Jenny gave me a really thoughtful gift also. Her mother had written a lovely poem

Today's the day to celebrate
a special day of birth
Although my friend's in Heaven
and no longer on this earth.
You her dear Mother loved her from the start
and her smile was one that most definitely
always touched your heart.
She was always close to you
and that she'd let you know
When she would snuggle really close to you
where ever you would go.
She always loved to laugh continuously as she played
and her love for her parents and sister never swayed.
She grew into a beautiful young lady
and made her mark along the way
with the special things she'd
write and things she'd often say.
I know those things give you comfort along with God's
dear touch and memories that won't ever fade,
from a daughter who loved you so much.

I had a nice chat with Mum this morning. I hope she had a nice walk. Wish I was there to walk with her. I'm really proud of Dad, he was at the Swimming Pool when I called. I think that is just great and good exercise Dad. Miss you both.

Isla and James stayed the night last night and we talked till one something. I cooked breakfast for them at 5:30am as Isla had class and James work in Oxford today. They are planning on returning this evening and hopefully getting some rest. It is good to see them.
