Here is a quote for the day for you!
Tiffany Age 14 at the Coffee House. "I haven't had this much fun in 20 years!"
The Coffee House went well this weekend. We had to cook another box of hamburgers Saturday as we ran out Friday. That is a lot of hamburgers. One kid in particular stays at the college, said he had only eaten popcorn all day. We sneak him free food. It does the old heart good to see the look on the kids face when they leave at night, the smile and wave and making sure you know they are leaving and "see you next week". We have a lot of younger kids coming also now because of the skating rink being closed down. This is extra strain on Mike the law enforcer, as these kids are a handful, death on ping pong balls too. Our little cooler for drinks which holds around 100 drinks I think hasn't been big enough the past weekends or so. It would be helpful to have a drink machine that they put a quarter in and get one that holds more drinks. Put it on your prayer list with us! Galvin helped out all weekend with the music again.
Got a call at the Coffee House asking if I wanted a job in Fulton, but it only paid $19,000 a year. Someone at our old Church in Tupelo had recommended me. Not sign related work.
Well, I guess you do start to fall apart at 40! I was having headaches at work all week that wouldn't go away and I noticed it started when I would sit down at the computer. I bought a pair of reading glasses at walmart, the lowest on the chart as I could read all the words from the distance. Am wearing the glasses now and did so yesterday while I did all my banking and paper work on the computer, no headache yet! Mike also sat me down at walmart and made me check my blood pressure which was a bit high. So, I'll have to try and remedy that.
Big things are happening at work for Mike. At some point he may be going back to Homer City, jobs are coming South to the Tupelo plant. They are transferring a product line to Tupelo. They wanted him to go next week, but with it being my birthday our anniversary etc. and we had plans, they put it off. Wasn't that nice of them.
